Hey, you
I´m sitting on the sofa, resting my feet, my eyes and my brain, while chaos is surrounding me in the apartment. Tomorrow awaits another schoolday, only this time I´m gonne be the student. So I´ve been kind enough with myself, letting me have a break until tomorrow. And until then.. Let the chaos be chaotic while my batteries are charging.

This is how tiredness smiles:

Even though it was a long day at work and my feet are still aching from this, some of the things that happened today will never be forgotten. When I was one of the adults in charge of supervision out in the schoolyard, some pupils ran immediately towards me when they saw me coming out. It didn´t take long before they began asking if I could come and work as a substitute/temporary teacher in their classroom. I explained to them that they should be glad their teachers are healthy. Then they suddenly remembered that one of their teachers are going to quit, so they would be needing a new teacher, and they saw me fit for that position. I explained that I´m not even graduated yet, I´m only halfway in my education. There weren´t no need for me to get more educated, they said. And then one of them came up with the idea of persuating the principal, and then another added that they needed to start a signature campaign for this. I laughed and I laughed, they couldn´t possibly be serious about this. I told them I was flattered, but I still needed to finish my education. And then I saw one of the girls running towards me, only now with pen and paper. “We vote for Eleanor as our teacher when –(their current teacher´s name)– quits”, said the headline. I could already see 5-6 other names on the list. I laughed and I laughed, and I said they had to put the paper back in the hallway (because they probably took it from there, I assumed). Then I looked at the clock and my time was out, I had to go back inside and asked if they could give back the paper. No, they said, they needed more signatures! What a day, what a day. Some things just make you smile all day long <3
