My goodness, pies are some of the things that are soo easy to make, even though they might look a bit complicated. Lately, I´ve opened my eyes for how flexible the pies can be. You can make a dessert out of them, or even a dinner/evening snacks. But my number 1 pie of all time, is most definetely the blueberry pie! 2 days ago, I posted a photo of a blueberry pie that I had made. Here comes the procedure I usually follow.
To make this blueberry pie, you´ll need:
(for the bottom)
200 g of flour
4 tablespoons of water
150 g of butter
(for the filling)
1 small package of Tine vanilla cream
(or it depends on how thick you´d like the cream to be in the pie.
The more = the thicker of course)
About 10 hand full of blue berries
(at least this is what I´ve used. After tasting it,
I´ve also come to conclude than 10 hand full was too little!
But again, this depend on how you´d like it to be.
If you love the blueberry taste = add more than 10 hand full)
Knead the flour with the butter (do not melt the butter!),
and add the small amount of water.
Put the dough in the pie shape.
Prick the dough with a fork.
Put the pie shape in the oven for around 10-15 minutes,
200 degrees of heat.
When the pie dough has gotten a bit of tan, take it out and fill the shape with vanilla cream.
Put the pie shape back to the oven (still on 200 degress of heat).
I also put alluminuim foil on top of the shape so it wouldn´t become too crusty and burned;
beacause the meaning behind putting it back is simply to warm up the cream.
After around 20-25 minutes, take the pie out.
Pour as much blueberries you want on top.
After a minute or so of cooling down a bit:
voilà! Ready to be served :-)
I hope you like it! Enjoy the rest of your Saturday!
Me on the other hand, has bought myself a book about a diet/lifestyle change,
but before I go loose on that, I will go loose on different pies this weekend!
Oh and by the way, sorry for the poor quality of some of my photos.
My Nikon is turned in for reparing, and that might take some time,
so please bear with me and my current iPhone photos.
